Delicious Breaded Tofu
Breaded tofu is a delicious and healthy Asian recipe for vegetarians. This goes best with a vegetable salad. For the sauce, you can use ketchup, soy sauce or Japanese sauce.This recipe yields 2-3 servings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. tofu, cut into 1 inch slices
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 Tbs. low fat milk
- salt & pepper
- 1/4 cup oil
Directions
- First, combine breadcrumbs, and salt and pepper to taste on a dish.
- Next, combine milk and egg in a shallow bowl and mix thoroughly, and then dip tofu in milk mixture and dredge in breadcrumbs to coat thoroughly.
- Heat oil in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Lastly, saut tofu 5-7 minutes per side, or until browned. Best served while hot.
- Delicious Breaded Tofu is ready to serve!
